Week 1: Day 2 | Activity 3

For Activity 3 we had to solve out the math problem. This was the question that we were given.

Let’s imagine that you are given a cactus for your birthday. To keep it alive, you must give it 3 ml of water every day.Over one full year, how much water will you need to give your cactus plant?

Thanks to Mrs Anderson for teaching me how to do maths. First I did 3 x 365 because 3 is the water every day and 365 is how many days in a year. So I times it and came up with 1095. So the answer to the maths problem is 1095

Week 1: Day 2 | Activity 2

Today, I completed the 2nd activity for day 2. For this activity,we had to find 3 different sports team in New Zealand that has the word "Ferns" in it.This very simple.The best shirt that I'd perfer is the Silver Ferns because even though you might not get hot in a singlet but in the other shirts you might get a little bit to hot.

Week 1: Day 2 | Activity 1

For day two we had to think about if you want to go to Tāne Mahuta or if you dont want too. Here is a little description about it.

I think I would like to visit Tāne Mahuta because I want to see how big it is my favorite about Tāne Mahuta is spotting massive trees. And as it is showing in the photo it looks big and tall, but not tall than a sky tower.

Week 1- Activity 3 - Staying safe online

For the thrid activity we had to create a postive and didgital footprint about what to do to stay safe online. The one I like was to Don't share your password to someone. It was my favorite because if you give a password to someone they might hack into it and change the password.

Week 1- Activity 2- My Hometown

For the second activity I had to think about my hometown and why it is special here is a short description about my hometown.

Auckland is an amazing hometown where many people live. Auckland is special because is the safest hometown for me and you. The wheather seems sunny or not. The places are amazing especially the sky tower. The sky tower is one of the best places you could go. Auckland is great place with lots of places you can go.

Today Summer Learning Journey has started which means we have started blogging our challenges. For my first activity I have made a DLO about the top 3 facts in New Zealand we have used the Tourism NZ website to find fun facts about New Zealand.

Today is Book week Mrs Anderson was reading a book called meerkat mail to LS2. It was all about a meerkat named Sunny he lived in the Kalahari desert with his big family. We had to make a DLO about meerkats my DlO was meerkats. I have written 3 facts about meerkats that I didn't know

Today is book week. LS2 were working on their Blooms / MI matrtix. I was working on the Alphabets because it was one of the easiest to do. We had to write the title of the book or the authors name. The hardest letter for me was Y.

Armistice Day WW1 Collage

Today we were creating a collage of WW1 when the war had ended people were celebrating the soldiers that had survived and came back from the world war people were happy and they were sad because mum had lost there husbands and kids.

Wheel word Week 2

Today in reading the Rotorua group were doing the wheel word for 10 minute. My letter that I had to focus on was 'S'. It was a bit hard because the words that I tried was wrong. And what I found easy was using the hint. I used the hints 54 times.

Formal and Informal Reading

Today for reading we were learning formal and informal language. We described examples of language that would be informal or formal. I learnt that writing a formal letter in language using greeting cards, emails, parent and grandparents and in writing an informal letter is used for text messages, friends, grocery lists and family. On top of the sentence is the formal I used 'I am writing to complain' and 'condition of the playground'. And for the informal I used 'How are you' and 'dead busy' and 'to get ready'.

Maths Revision

Today Jonathan and I have been doing a math activity. This activity was a bit hard because we had to answer the questions. We choose to go up to 100. We both took turns answer all questions. I also practice addition. Thank you to Mr Wong for creating this math activity.

Recipocal Reading

Today for reading we were doing reciprocal reading.We were reading this book called 'Built to last'. We were all taking turns to be a leader to lead the stages we had to do. One person had to write down the words that we didn't know. We were improving reading comprehensive thorough reciprocal reading.

Read theroy (week 5)

Today I have checked my read theory quiz and I have made my grade level up to grade 4. I think I need to work hard on my read theory, and read books at home and at school,and  I have to not to try to guess the answers.

Pechaflickr Soccer

This week for writing Jeremiah and I have complete our pecha flickr story's and have recorded it on screencastify. First we worked on our pechaflirkr story. We wrote about a soccer game and how Samoa won against Niue. The fun part creating this was searching for images of different scenes of our story. For example finding a image of someone kicking or the crowd cheering. This week for writing our group were learning how to format or order a narrative story. We were also learning how to link ideas between paragraphs to make a connection. In the writing Jaydon and I have wrote we have used powerful words to paint a picture in the authors head.

Hiit week 3

Today we were hiit with group A. Mataio and Tiava were amazing they were showing us an example about how to do the warm ups. The warm up we had to do was walking on the spot, running in the spot, Star jumps and jogging in the spot. Then we first did mountain climber, High knees sprint tap steps Star Jumps and Push ups. What I hard was doing the push up but I managed to do it on my kneed but legs crossed.

Careers

Today this term we are learning about careers. First we went on this website called CareerQuest. We had to finish the quiz, when we had finished the quiz it will take us to the results it was based on your answers the answers were submitted to your jobs.

Term 3 week 1 Hitt group

Today in class we were doing hiit. First we were doing Star jumps, Tap step and High knees sprint. Tiava and Mataio were amazing they were standing in front and doing examples of how to do it. I think we all did well because we were all hot and sweating that means everyone was doing well.

Quiz History (read theory)

Last term and this term we have read an online book called read theory. My progress was a bit low. I have to try my best and read books at home and during school. And I have not guess the answers and questions. My grade level is Three Four and Five.

Lighthouse for sale

Last week LS2 were making a For sale poster about the lighthouse. My Lighthouse was Minneapolis Shoal Light I chose this because it looks peace and quite the price of this lighthouse was 14,711.70. We were learning about light house with Mr Johnston.
