Formal and Informal Reading

Today for reading we were learning formal and informal language. We described examples of language that would be informal or formal. I learnt that writing a formal letter in language using greeting cards, emails, parent and grandparents and in writing an informal letter is used for text messages, friends, grocery lists and family. On top of the sentence is the formal I used 'I am writing to complain' and 'condition of the playground'. And for the informal I used 'How are you' and 'dead busy' and 'to get ready'.

Hiit week 3

Today we were hiit with group A. Mataio and Tiava were amazing they were showing us an example about how to do the warm ups. The warm up we had to do was walking on the spot, running in the spot, Star jumps and jogging in the spot. Then we first did mountain climber, High knees sprint tap steps Star Jumps and Push ups. What I hard was doing the push up but I managed to do it on my kneed but legs crossed.

Tech week 8 (Pewter Casting)

Today for tech we were in Mr Grundy's class we had to focus on drawing our picture on the small wood. First, we had to lightly colored the size of the wood on paper then we had to put our picture on our wood then traced it around. What I found hard was cutting the wood using the scroll saw that I traced. And what I found easy was tracing on paper.

Today in reading we were doing key into evolution it was about the tunnel vision then we had to make a DLO to show the Raurimu Spiral. Did you know that Raumiru spiral was built by Robert Holmes

How to survive a cow attack

Today for reading we were making a DLO of how to survive a cow attack. I have learnt that you don't walk into a group of cows or they might run after you. We also read a story about a girl name Amy that got attacked by a cow.

Let me tell you about the 2018 Winter Olympics…

Winter Olympics is a sports competitions were countries

represent their own country team. The Winter Olympics is

held in South Korea, Pyeongchang. It started on the 9th and ended on the 25th of February 2018.

In the winter Olympics they have many kind of sports.

There are 92 countries that played at the winter Olympics games.

The only sports that has a Rifle is Biathlon.

The Olympics values are Excellence, Respect and Friendship.

The Winter Olympics and the RIO Olympics are different, because the winter Olympics is

held in the winter season. When each team has won a game they will be given a gold, silver or bronze

medals The passion connect logo means the people, earth,  heaven. Each sports or events have there

own place of where they are going to play there sports game.

This morning we worked in pairs to talk about the Winter Olympics. First we had to face each others and talk about the winter Olympics then we had to back to back to write our paragraph. We had 5 minute to write about the winter Olympics. Joshua and I had to take turns and typing. It was hard because we were typing the same writing and had to make sure that what we wrote and what our partner wrote made sense.

I used Tagul to create this word cloud that shows who the people are in our local community. A community is a group of people who live in the same place(e.g:Panmure), or have a common connection(eg:Niuean community)

For this activity I had to find where Rainbow's End is located.Then we had to put down the family passes. After that we How much it will cost my family to go to Rainbow's End,I have 2 adults and 3 Siblings. I think I did really well working on Rainbow's End slides.

Learning Intention:  

• To write an explanation that tells the reader why my blog is unique

A blog is a website that you can post your learning on. It goes around to a global audience. All blogs are different and that makes them unique. My blog is special because it’s different to everyone else’s blog.

I have 5,200 views on my blog. That means 5,200 people have looked at my examples of learning that I shared with the world. Each post has a blurb that tells what I have been learning.

I give each post a title and I label it so that my work is easy to find. For example if I post a poem I label it, ‘Explanation, Writing, Jaydon,  2017’  so that people searching for my explanation can find it quickly.

There is comments section under each post. This also makes your blog is unique because it allows people to give comments and information that is special to you about your learning.

Anyone around the global can view what you are learning. All blogs are different and that makes them unique and I think that blog is special because it’s different from everyone else’s blog.

Today we did writing we were talking about why my blog is unique. Unique means that it is different to someone else. My partner was Jona. Jona did really well working with me.
