Today in reading we were doing key into evolution it was about the tunnel vision then we had to make a DLO to show the Raurimu Spiral. Did you know that Raumiru spiral was built by Robert Holmes

Samoan Language

This week is Samoan language week. We have made a DLO about how to say the month of the year in Samoan we worked together in a group to make this DLO. I found easy was to write down the Samoan months name and in English. It was hard because it was difficult to say the Samoan words.

Yesterday in Inquiry we were making a human body using playdoh and tooth pics. We used the tooth pics to make our human body movement. Then we took some photos of our floppy human and we had to make it stand. I found hard was making it stand because it had no bones. After that, we were making a gif of the photo we took here you see I have made a gif that we took with our photos. We were making the human without the bones and then we made it with bones.

How to survive a cow attack

Today for reading we were making a DLO of how to survive a cow attack. I have learnt that you don't walk into a group of cows or they might run after you. We also read a story about a girl name Amy that got attacked by a cow.

Roller Skating Term 2

Today during Lunchtime we had been doing rollerskating with Puna. I learnt how to stop and how to stand still if you fall. The was a bit harder because on roller skates it has for wheels in a straight line and the other skates are with 4 wheels but separated.

2 words 1 minute winter Olympics

This year the Winter Olympics was held in Pyeongchang in South Korea. Different countries compete in the winter sports. There are many people who are taking care of there equipment in each sport. People respect to other countries and sports when they lose. This year this theme is passion connects. There are different sport like Skiing, Ice hockey and + more sports. The passion connects means heaven people and earth.

Today I used my wordlist to make my paragraph and I followed Mrs Anderson's introduction

We talked about ideas with a partner, then we had 1 minute to put those ideas into sentences. We had to try our best to use all the words on our vocab list. After the minute was up we had 2 minutes to reread what we had written and make changes if anything didn’t make sense, or if we had words and punctuation in the wrong place. When we finished checking we had 2 more minutes to carry on writing our descriptions.

Then all of the words that I highlighted on my paragraph are on my word list. I did well on putting capital letters after a full stop. I need to remember to use my word list.

Let me tell you about the 2018 Winter Olympics…

Winter Olympics is a sports competitions were countries

represent their own country team. The Winter Olympics is

held in South Korea, Pyeongchang. It started on the 9th and ended on the 25th of February 2018.

In the winter Olympics they have many kind of sports.

There are 92 countries that played at the winter Olympics games.

The only sports that has a Rifle is Biathlon.

The Olympics values are Excellence, Respect and Friendship.

The Winter Olympics and the RIO Olympics are different, because the winter Olympics is

held in the winter season. When each team has won a game they will be given a gold, silver or bronze

medals The passion connect logo means the people, earth,  heaven. Each sports or events have there

own place of where they are going to play there sports game.

This morning we worked in pairs to talk about the Winter Olympics. First we had to face each others and talk about the winter Olympics then we had to back to back to write our paragraph. We had 5 minute to write about the winter Olympics. Joshua and I had to take turns and typing. It was hard because we were typing the same writing and had to make sure that what we wrote and what our partner wrote made sense.
